University concert features chamber ensembles
Bluffton University’s Chamber Ensembles will perform a fall concert at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday Nov. 14, in Yoder Recital Hall.
The Low Brass Ensemble, of three trombones and a tuba, will perform brass staples as well as selections originally written for other instruments.
Under the direction of Dr. Roy Couch, pieces include “An English Folksong Suite” arranged by John Hilfiger, “Salut d’Amour” by Edward Elgar and “In Memoriam” by Raymond Premru.
Under the director of Dr. Andrew Liebermann, the Woodwind Chamber Ensemble, which features a mixture of flute, clarinet and saxophone, will be performing a number of selections including the famous “Pavane” by Gabriel Fauré.
