School food drive underway
Both the Middle School and Elementary kindergarten classes are collecting food items for the Bluffton Food Pantry. Below is a list of non-perishable items which the food pantry currently needs.
The food pantry kindly requests no glass containers.
For kindergartners
Bring your donated items to your classroom. Deadline is Friday, Nov. 22
For the Middle School
The goal is 500 items from each class. Food items can be dropped off in room 107 (Mrs. Ault). Deadline is Tuesday, Dec. 17.
Here's the list of items the pantry is currently in need:
- paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, tissues)
- personal hygiene (soft soaps, deodorant, lotions and hand creams, toothpaste and toothbrushes, shampoo)
- Ramen beef
- spaghetti noodles
- spaghetti sauce
- alfredo sauce
- macaroni and cheese
- tortillas, salsa, tacos
- breakfast cereals
- baked beans
- chili beans
- Spaghetti O's, Beefaroni, or similar
- Manwich or similar sauce
- cake and cookie mixes
- pudding and Jell-O mixes
- shelf milk
- Soups (cream of mushroom, chicken noodle, or chunky veg)
- canned fruits (mandarin orange, peach, pear, cocktail, or pineapple)
- apple sauce
- vegetables canned (other than corn, green beans or peas)
- canned meats (beef, pork, chicken, or tuna)
- condiments: catsup, mustard, mayo, barbeque sauce
- salad dressings
- sugar, flour, salt
- coffee, tea, fruit drinks
