Tree of Remembrance service Dec. 8
The holidays can be a particularly difficult time to cope with the loss of a loved one and the Tree of Remembrance memorial service provides a forum where families can come together to express their grief, but also find peace for years to come.
Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services will hold its Tree of Remembrance memorial service on Sunday, Dec. 8, at The Centre at Bluffton, 601 N. Main St., for those who have lost a loved one this year or in years past.
Persons attending may begin arriving at 1 p.m. A brief memorial service is at 2 p.m.
All families in attendance will receive a free glass ornament personalized with the name and dates of their loved one that will be placed on the Christmas Tree for the service and then will be yours to keep and hang on your Christmas tree or otherwise display in commemoration of your loved one.
At the conclusion of the service, the ornament is yours to take home. Additional ornaments will be available for purchase at the cost of $20.
Jon Kinn said: "If you would like additional ornaments please call the funeral home prior to the service date to order so that we may have them ready for you. Additional ornaments purchased must be paid with cash or check. No credit cards please."
Light refreshments will be provided following the service. There is no charge to attend the service; however reservations are requested.
For more information about the service or to RSVP for the service and reserve a personalized ornament, call 419-358-2051 or email [email protected].
