Bluffton school board is preparing for 2020 during its final meeting of 2019, held Monday, Dec. 16.

The agenda includes several 2020 actions including:
• Setting the date for the January reorganizational meeting
• Acting on the June 7 to June 16, 2020, Ocean Focus student field trip
• Approving a 2020-21 open enrollment policy plan
• Approving the 2020-21 school calendar
• Selecting a board member to replace Brad Fruchey as board representative on the Apollo Career Center school board
• Passing legislation to advertise and receive bids for a school bus

Additional Monday action includes reappointment of Robert Scott to a 7-year term on the Bluffton Public Library board, through December 2026.

There are several contracts on the agenda, ranging from substitute teachers, cafeteria works, bus drivers to educational aides. Those are all listed in the board agenda attached to this story.
