Bluffton Family Recreation’s January programming offers many opportunities for youth and adults, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director.

Youth programs
Winter Session 3 includes youth classes from Jan. 4 to Jan. 31.
Those include 14 opportunities for youth ranging from soccer, basketball, Karate (for the entire family), Ninjas, tennis, tumbling, “mad” scientist and homeschool recreation.
A school break camp for youth ages 5 to 12 takes place on Monday, Jan. 20, Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The next school break camp is Monday, Feb. 17, Presidents’ Day.
BFR and Bluffton University women’s soccer team host a day camp for players U8 to high school on Monday, Jan. 20, from 1 to 4 p.m. Players will work to develop individual and team skills.
Indoor youth flag football for Kindergarten through fourth grade begins Saturday, Jan. 11. Registration deadline is Thursday, Jan. 2. Grades K-2 and grades 3-4 divisions play Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Adult programs
Seniors are invited to a 9 a.m. breakfast on the final Tuesday of each month provided by Good Samaritan House, Arlington. This month’s breakfast is Tuesday, Jan. 28.
The first of two winter off the wall coed softball tournaments is Saturday, Jan. 18. It is for four men and two women per team. The next tournament is Saturday, Feb. 29. Registration deadline is one week before each tournament.
Adult coed volleyball is from Sunday, Jan. 19, to Feb. 23. Play is Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.
