Bluffton University junior Dezman Brown (Elyria) has been named the Heartland Conference Player of the Week.
Brown was the key to Bluffton's 2-0 week in the Heartland Conference that included a career-high 23 points in Saturday's 67-53 win over HCAC-leading Franklin. He netted 22.0 PPG on 17-of-26 from the field (65.4 percent). Brown was a ridiculous 7-of-10 (70 percent) from distance. He averaged 4.5 RPG and 2.5 APG. In the dominating victory over the Grizzlies, Brown led the way with a career-high 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting from field and a red-hot 4-of-5 from behind the arc.
Bluffton travels to Mount St. Joseph for a 7:30 p.m. clash with the Lions on Wednesday night before a trip to Anderson on Saturday afternoon.
