Cincinnati musician performs in next Town Hall Concert
Zapruder Point from Cincinnati will perform in a 7 p.m., Saturday, Feb.29, Bluffton Town Hall Concert Series.
Hogan's Alley, the project of Bluffton local's Jason Fritsch and Benji Bergstrand will open the show. Hogan's Alley will play an acoustic set of their rootsy Americana. The band is described as “sharing songwriting duties, standing behind consistently strong lyrics and earnest performance.”
Zapruder Point is a decade-spanning musical project of Dan Phillips, who started performing in Chicago in the late 1990s. Performances shifted forms several times ranging from power trio to an acoustic solo.
Phillips, writing, recording and playing solo, is described as singing and playing with a unique style and voice convincing in an authenticity and strikingly vulnerable, powerful enough to command a room.
Zapruder Point will release a record Unnamed Stars on Feb. 28.
