Marcene Zimmerman Pope was a Bluffton High School graduate
Marcene Jane Pope, 79 of Paragould, Arkansas, died at 8:56 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
She was born on Jan. 5, 1941 in Bluffton, Ohio, to Oscar and Vera (Herr) Zimmerman who preceded her in death. Marcene married Joseph Pope on Sept. 25, 1960 and they later divorced.
Marcene was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Bluffton High School.
She is survived by three sons: Daniel Pope, Joseph “Joey” (Linda) Pope, Sr. both of Ada and John Pope of Gibsonton, Fla.; a daughter, Tammy (Bill) Downing of Findlay; five grandchildren: Joseph “Joe” (Heather) Pope, Jr., Justin (Nicole) Pope and Jordan (Beatrice) Pope all of Ada, Jarita (Sebastian) Moneer of Delphos, Anthony “AJ” Pope of Lima; 15 great grandchildren; two sisters: Anna (Walter) Bergenthun of Newark and Arletta (Richard) Boop of Lima; and a special friend, Ramezon Jafari.
Marcene was preceded in death by her son, Kelly and great grandson, Enzo Moneer.
Arrangements are incomplete at this time at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral and Creamation Services, Ada.
