Volunteers invited for several "hands-on" projects
Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio invites area volunteers to assist in several "hands-on" projects this summer, according to Jessica Strahm, volunteer coordinator.
Ohio's "Responsible Restart Ohio Plans” moving forward for businesses meeting mandatory safety requirements for customers, employees and volunteers enables MHCO to invite persons for volunteer projects.
"If you enjoy working with hands-on projects and want to help with planting flowers, landscaping or painting, we have a number of projects available at Maple Crest, Hilty Home, Willow Ridge and Mennonite Memorial Home," said Strahm.
"Personal protective equipment – masks – should be worn and we encourage volunteers to bring their own water and snacks," she said.
MHCO will provide a mask along with any tools needed for the activity. Volunteers will work on their own schedule, Strahm said, and MHCO will schedule a meeting with its maintenance staff prior to persons from the community volunteering.
Contact Strahm at [email protected] or call 419-996-8433.
