Pirates win NWC quad meet, 11 strokes ahead of Grove

BLUFFTON - The Bluffton golf team won a four-team Northwest Conference match Thursday at the Bluffton Golf Course.
The co-host Pirates won with 175 strokes, followed by Columbus Grove (184), Crestview (203) and Ada (211).
Bluffton improved to 3-0 in the NWC with the wins.
Kenny Lovett of Bluffton was match medalist with a 39.
Micah Minnig shot 42, followed by Wes Brauen (45) and Jaden Confare (49) as the other Pirate scorers.
Jacob Boisvert shot 50 and Kyler Kinn added a 53 for Bluffton.
The Ada linksters are 0-9 and 0-4 in the NWC. Grove and Crestview are each 1-1 in the NWC.
Bluffton plays at the Liberty-Benton Invitational Friday, August 14 at Sycamore Springs Golf Course in Findlay.
