Bluffton golfer 7th of 41 competitors at Legacy tourney
The Bluffton University women enjoyed their first competition since hosting the Heartland Conference championships at the Bluffton Golf Club on Oct. 13, 2019.
After a nearly 11-month sabbatical, the Beavers put together a 378 at the Legacy Golf Club on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Junior Brylee Oberdorf (Green Springs/Clyde) led the way with an 88 which tied her for 7th out of 41 golfers on Tuesday. Her 88 gives Oberdorf three of the top four 18-hole scores in school history.
Sophomore Grace Branson (Carlisle) stepped up with a 95. Fellow sophomores Haley Gill (Indianapolis, IN/Franklin Central) and Marissa Hall (Avon Lake) chipped in with scores of 97 and 98, respectively.
Junior Keely Briggs (Franklin) and Meredith Obringer (Tiffin/Columbian) rounded out the afternoon with identical scores of 104 at Legacy.
Bluffton returns to action on Monday, Sept. 14, when the Beavers travel to the Mohawk Country Club for a matchup with Tiffin University.
