10 Pirates score in blowout at Paulding

PAULDING - Visiting Bluffton whipped Paulding 13-1 in a boys soccer mismatch Monday night.
The lopsided win improved the Pirate boys record to 13-0-2 this season. Winless Paulding fell to 0-15 with the defeat.
Ten different Pirates scored in the blowout win.
Jonathan Schriner scored two goals, one in the very first minute of play and again in the 44th minute.
Jude Spallinger tallied in the eighth and 43rd minutes of play.
Nolan Hoffman also scored twice, in the 24th and 53rd minutes.
Kaden Basil found the back of the net in the ninth minute to extend the lead to 3-0.
Landon Armstrong made it 4-0 with his goal in the 14th minute.
Kyle Basil tallied in the 28th minute. Simon Derstine scored in the 46th minute.
Tre Bender (71), Ayden Diller (77) and Ethan Oglesbee (78) added three more scores in the final 10 minutes.
Panther Andrew Adams netted the lone Paulding goal in the 33rd minute to cut the deficit to 6-1.
Spallinger passed out two assists. Schriner, Derstine, Bryan Zimmerman, Luke Shepard, Thad Mittendorf, Josh Mehaffie, Oglesbee and Bender each dished out one assist.
Bluffton fired 22 of its 28 shots on goal, with 13 going in. Paulding managed just three shots, with their lone shot on goal scoring.
Pirate keeper Nic Essinger made two saves in goal.
Bluffton plays at Kalida (4-8-2) Thursday, October 15 in the regular season finale.
