Nov. 5 entrepreneurs event: Your first employee
The Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs (BCE) is now serving startups and emerging businesses with online events, making it easier for entrepreneurs throughout Allen, Hancock, Hardin and Putnam counties to access programming.
At 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, The BCE will host the Zoom discussion "Your first employee (by the numbers)." BCE executive director Paula Scott and accountant Tracey Simons of Reichenbach & Steiner CPAs will review the basics during the first half hour, which will be recorded for viewing on YouTube. After the recording ends, they will hold an open discussion with online guests.
They will cover state and federal requirements for new employers, including getting an Employer Identification Number, employee eligibility verification, taxes, unemployment, and workers comp.
To participate and receive the teleconference link, RSVP to [email protected]. If you are unable to attend, you may email questions and follow up by watching the YouTube video starting on or before November 9.
