Letter: First time both JV and Varsity Bluffton Bucs win Super Bowls
Icon viewers:
Bluffton has a lot of great football to look forward in the community years. Here are the accomplishments made by both Bluffton Bucs midget football teams this year, starting with the Varsity.
They have been in the Super Bowl 3 of the last 4 years and have won as 4th graders and as 6th graders. They have talent across the board and many have started all 4 years of their Bucs career.
They have been well coached and have dealt with adversity as they have grown into fine young men. It will be exciting to see what they do at the next level. The Varsity team outscored teams 248 to 48 this season.
For the JV Bluffton Bucs 3rd and 4th grade team, in my 10 years of coaching I don't think I've ever seen 2 classes back to back as stacked with talent. Many of the 4th graders were first-year starters last year. It was fun to watch the 3rd and 4th graders battle each other at practice. They are all well disciplined and very competitive.
This team had an incredible regular season with 6 games and 6 shut outs. In post season they had one more shut out game to win the Super Bowl.
The JV outscored teams 255 to 12 this season. Both teams played small and large schools this year and that was a major accomplishment in itself, but to make this year even more historical it was the first time ever that both the JV and the Varsity teams both won the Super Bowl in the same season.
We have a very special group of coaches that strive for excellence and help make these boys very disciplined at a young age that sets them apart from their competitors.
We want to thank everyone in the community that supported the Bluffton Bucs during these tough times. Go Bucs! #BUCPRIDE -
Sincerely,
Coach Zac Kohli
