Residential decorating contest prizes doubled
Decorating for the holidays?
The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce has a prize for that – four big prizes, in fact. The awards for 2020 have been doubled: $400 for 1st place, $300 for 2nd place, $150 for 3rd place, and $150 for Mayor's Choice.
The chamber sponsors a residential holiday lighting contest to help spread Blaze of Lights spirit throughout the village. It is funded by the generous donations of chamber member businesses.
To participate, Bluffton residents should email name, address, and phone number to [email protected]. Entries must be received by Friday, Dec. 4, and decorations should be installed by Saturday, Dec. 5.
Contest prizes are awarded in "Bluffton Bucks," Bluffton chamber gift certificates, which may be used at Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce member business. The contest is open to any residence inside the Bluffton village limits.
Entries will be highlighted on print and digital maps. For more information, contact Paula Scott at (419) 369-2985.
The map of residential lighting locations is posted on ExploreBluffton.com and on the chamber’s Facebook page.
Print copies will be available at the Ream folk art display at Main St. and Cherry; and at the Marathon gas station at Main and College.
