Bill Hoffer was a member of the Bluffton HS class of 1968
William J. “Bill” Hoffer, 70, died on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020, at 12:45 p.m. at his residence in Ada, surrounded by his family.
He was born on March 13, 1950 in Bluffton to the late Roy and Mary (Dunbar) Hoffer, Jr. On Feb. 2, 1979, Bill married Diana M. Newland and she survives in Ada.
Bill worked as a custodian at Ohio Northern University, Ada. He was a member of the Bluffton High School class of 1968.
Also surviving is his son, Chris (Melissa Cook) Hoffer of Ada; three daughters: Jaime Hoffer of Bluffton, Tammy (Ron) Crouse of Ada and Misty (Andy) Vore of Ridgeway; 12 grandchildren; three brothers: Mark (Carol) Hoffer of Ada, David (Mary) Hoffer of Bluffton and Roger (Connie) Hoffer of Bluffton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Hoffer; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Bob and Dorothy Newland.
Attendance will be restricted at the visitation based on space to accommodate social distancing requirements. Face coverings must be worn while attending visitation.
Friends may call from 2 – 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 29, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada. Inurnment of Ashes will take place at a later date in St. Paul Cemetery, Ada.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
