School board acts on purchase of new 84-passenger bus

Anticipated from Cardinal Bus at $92,890

Bluffton school board prepares for the end of 2020 as it meets one final time this year. The agenda is attached at the bottom of this story.

The board will act on the purchase of a new 84-passenager school bus at a cost of $92,890, from Cardinal Bus Sales and Service. The purchase is through a joint purchasing program with The Southwestern Ohio Educational Purchasing Council.

The board will act to renew a seven-year term on the Bluffton-Richland Public Library board for Emily VonStein, covering January 2021 to December 2027.

Supplemental contract action will cover:
• Mason Soper, volunteer high school basketball
• Jaime Shaw, fifth grade academic team advisor

Three student teacher action will cover:
• Sydney Bowen, Bluffton University student with Sandy Karhoff, Jan. 21 to May 5
• Danielle Dancer, Bluffton University student with Diana Kiser, Jan. 21 to May 5
• Tanjina Chowdhury, Ohio Northern University student, with Vicki Garmon and Nicole Anderson, Jan. 19 through April 30

Classified contracts will be considered for:
• Ericka McCory, educational aide
• Rachel Mathewson, part-time cafeteria worker
• Julie Wolfe, part-time cafeteria worker
• Amanda Hohenbrink, educational aide
