Bluffton council holds Zoom meeting Jan. 4
Bluffton council closed 2020 with several end-of-year emergency pieces of legislation in its Dec. 28 session.
A special meeting was called for 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 4, to deal with contracts. The meeting will take place via Zoom. Contact Jesse Blackburn, village administrator at [email protected] for a Zoom invitation.
On Dec. 28, council decided to hold all January and February meetings via Zoom. The Icon will keep viewers updated on those dates and invitations to participate prior to each meeting.
In other year-end action, council passed a three-month appropriations measure covering Jan. 1 to March 31.
Council also renewed its contract with Hackenberg, Feighner, Bishop and Werth to handle village solicitor duties for 2021. The contract calls for $1,000 per month retainer.
Jesse Blackburn updated council on the village pathway projects. A Zoom meeting will take place at noon, Wednesday, Jan. 13. The meeting will focus on projects planned for construction in 2022 and 2023 by the pathway board.
The 2022 project consists of a one-third mile dedicated pathway on the east side of County Line Road extending from College Avenue to State Route 103.
Proposed for 2023 is a pathway project extending from County Line Road to the businesses nearly the Interstate interchange.
