David Anderson was a 1971 Bluffton HS graduate
David L. Anderson, 68, of Bluffton died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021. He was born on that same date in 1953 in Bluffton to the late Ronald and Fern Badertscher Anderson.
David is survived by his sister, Debra L. Sommers of Powell, Ohio, and several cousins and friends.
David was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Daniel L. Sommers, who died on May 19, 2014.
David was a 1971 Bluffton High School graduate. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Wheaton (Illinois) College; a Juris Doctorate from George Washington University Law School (a member of Ohio and DC bars); a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan; a Doctorate of Education from Harvard University and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Northwestern University.
David spent much of his career teaching business courses both part-and full-time in Illinois, Indiana, Washington and California. For many years, he also worked in Chicago as a strategic technical security planner for Blue Cross Blue Shield Illinois.
David was a long-time member of the Ebenezer Mennonite Church in Bluffton.
Due to covid restrictions, no services will be conducted. A private burial will be held at the Ebenezer Mennonite Cemetery.
