Bob Plaugher was retired from Scot Lad
Robert "Bob" Lee Plaugher, 81, died Jan. 15, 2021, at his residence. Bob was born March 12, 1939, in Lima to the late Raymond and Dorothea (Burns) Plaugher who preceded him in death. On May 19, 1962, he married Rita Mae Plaugher, they were later divorced and she survives in Lima.
Bob graduated from Lima Senior High School. He worked for and retired from Scot Lad Foods after 30-plus years. Bob was also self-employed hauling livestock and hay over the countryside after retirement. He also was a farmer and had worked at the Beaverdam Elevator.
Survivors include six children, Teresa (Doug) Griffith of Lima, Tammy (Chuck) Boughan of Lima, Ed (Susan) Plaugher of Lima, Cathy (John) Lauck of Lima, Janet (Mike) Burgett of Guntown, Mississippi, Jim (Nicole) Plaugher of Lima; 14 grandchildren, Katelyn Miller, Jarvae Boughan, Trey Boughan, Sarah Kaufman, Tiffany Gray, Clint Strickland, Randy Plaugher, Whitney Kamm, Dustin Lauck, Charlie Patterson, Greg Patterson, Brittany Dickerson, Levi Plaugher, Megan Eutsler; his "grand pups"; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson and a brother, Carl Plaugher of Tennessee.
Bob was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Plaugher, and special friend, Ellie Laing.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 19, at the Waynesfield Lions Club, 331 E. Wapakoneta St., Waynesfield, from 2 - 4 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
