It's on the way
It’s on the way.
With the possibility of several inches of snow to fall over the next 24 hours, expect a snow emergency to be issued by the Village of Bluffton tonight or overnight, according to the Bluffton police department.
“Please pass the following information on and help your neighbors understand this,” Ryan Burkholder, police chief said.
Here’s what it means
• Special rules are in place for parking vehicles on roadways and in municipal parking lots.
• On even numbered days, park on the even numbered (address) side of the roadway.
•On odd days, park on the odd numbered side of the roadway.
• Vehicles in municipal parking lots and those parked on the roadways must be moved within 24 hours of stated emergency and cannot stay parked in one location for longer than 24 hours. This allows snow to be cleared appropriately.
• Vehicles not following this snow emergency ordinance may be towed (at owner's expense) to allow for proper snow removal.
