MHCO fully enrolled
In a recent press conference, Governor Mike DeWine encouraged nursing homes and assisted living communities to enroll in a vaccination maintenance program.
He expressed frustration that more than 200 communities had yet to sign up for the program.
"Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio was surprised to find some of our facilities included on this list, including Mennonite Memorial Home and Hilty Home," said Jason Cox of MHCO.
"We share the Governor's urgency for rolling out the vaccinations, but we believe that our inclusion on this list was a communication oversight, and we have requested to be removed from the list," he added.
"MHCO would like to assure our constituents and the public that our communities (Mennonite Memorial Home, Hilty Home, Willow Ridge and Maple Crest) have all been enrolled in the vaccine maintenance program.
"We have partnered with our long-term care pharmacy, Hometown Pharmacy in Pandora to provide these clinics, and the first clinic for this program was held earlier this week on March 23."
Maintenance vaccination clinics will continue on the thirdTuesday of each month, and any residents or staff interested in enrolling should contact their building's main office.
