Bluffton netmen 5th at Lima tourney

LIMA - The Bluffton boys tennis team took fifth place in the six-team Lima City tennis tournament Saturday at the Collett Street Courts to open their season.
Shawnee won the team title with 33 points, followed by LCC in second place (22). Bluffton tallied 13 points to finish well ahead of Wapakoneta.
Pirate senior Eden Nygaard captured fourth place in the first singles flight. Bluffton sophomore Luke Shadle finished second in the number two singles competition.
Gabe Burke of Shawnee won the A or first singles title, while teammate Mason Stahl took the B/second singles crown.
Enrico Pittalis and Aaron Simmons of LCC won the first doubles flight. Meanwhile, the Shawnee duo of Brayden Ward and Seth Grieshop captured the second doubles title.
