Simon Derstine, a senior, is the Bluffton High School March student of the month.

He is a member of Student Senate, National Honor Society and Ocean Focus. He received a "Student of the Year" award in Art 1 and twice in Robotics.

He also has received an Academic Letter each year. He is on the Bluffton High School soccer, swim and track teams.

In his spare time he enjoys biking, working out and hanging out with friends and family. He attends Bluffton University for post-secondary options and takes Calculus. He also is taking Personal Finance through The University of Findlay. After graduation he would like to attend Heidelberg University and major in Business and Economics.

Simon carries a 4.0 grade point average and is the son of Matt and Jannie Derstine of Bluffton.
