Kibbee's Carryout now under 3rd generation of ownership
Bluffton's most popular business not in Bluffton, Kibbee’s Carryout, 140 County Road 313, today became a third-generation business.
Mason Klingler and Chloe Blackburn, took over ownership from Mason’s parents, Anita and Ron Klingler of Ada.
Anita said that her mother Barbara Hopson, owned Kibbee’s for seven years, and she and Ron have owned it for the past 27 years.
Mason is a 2017 Ada High School grad, and Chloe a 2018 Cory-Rawson grad, and currently is a student at the University of Toledo majoring in marketing.
The business offers 159 craft beer brands, which is among the largest selections in northwestern Ohio.
Customers also find a deli with meat and cheese, soups and sandwiches plus lunch specials, along with a large selection of wine, snacks, candy and Ohio lottery tickets.
“Our customers come from many area communities,” said Anita. She listed Lima, Wapakoneta, Ada, Findlay, LaFayette, Pandora, Rawson, Mt. Blanchard, Mt. Cory and, yes, even Hicksville, in the business customer base.
The new owners plan a grand opening later in the spring. The business Facebook is Kibbee's Carryout and a website is in the works.
“We are also working to obtain a tasting license,” said Chloe. “That will allow us to better promote our wine selection.”
In addition to Mason and Chloe, the shop’s staff includes Kay Lambert, Brenda Beltz and Joanne Casper.
Business hours are Mondays to Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The business phone number remains 419-358-0338.
