Leslie Diaz, Riley Garmatter in university ambassador program
Leslie Diaz and Riley Garmatter, Bluffton, were named to the Bluffton University’s President’s Ambassador Program.
Starting in the 2021-22 academic year, Bluffton will launch the President’s Ambassador Program, a group of high-achieving students who will assist in recruiting prospective students, welcome and greet guests to campus, and engage with alumni and donors.
Diaz, a junior graphic design and marketing major, is also a cheerleader, ministry assistant and a volunteer in Bluffton University’s Learning Resource Center (LRC). She also has worked for the university public relations and art departments.
“I consider Bluffton University my second home,” said Diaz. “I would love to help prospective students experience the great moments I have had. I think it is important to make others feel welcome and cared for on campus.”
Cory-Rawson HS graduate, Garmatter, a sophomore elementary education major, is also an admissions student employee and volunteers in the LRC. In addition, she assists at athletic events and is a member of the Bluffton Education Organization.
“I love Bluffton, and I want to share that love with prospective students and hopefully help them feel confident in their future at Bluffton,” said Garmatter. “I am so excited to see what this program brings to our campus.”
