Bluffton becomes the soccer capital of NW Ohio this weekend
Bluffton becomes the soccer capital of northwestern Ohio this weekend.
Hundreds of soccer fans flock to Bluffton village park and Citizens National soccer fields this weekend as the Bluffton Soccer Association Cup tournament takes place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 14-15-16.
Friday’s games are from 4 to 9 p.m., Saturday’s from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Sunday’s from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., according to Dan Lee, tournament director.
The tournament previously took place on several area fields including Bluffton University. Last year’s event was cancelled due to covid-19 crowd restrictions.
The tournament is for U12 and U15 boys and girls teams. U12 games take place at the village park. U15 games take place at Citizens National fields.

• U12 girls’ red division: Bluffton, Arlington, Riverdale Van Buren, Arcadia, Upper Sandusky
• U12 coed white division: Bluffton, Arlington, Cory-Rawson, Upper Sandusky, Findlay, Liberty Benton, Riverdale, Van Buren
• U15 coed red division: Bluffton, Ada, Arcadia, Upper Sandusky
