Attention girl scouts - and those who want to join
Two fun events for all area girls are set with the Bluffton Girl Scouts – one takes place Saturday, and the second in early June.
From 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, at the Bluffton village park girls will complete science experiments with women mentors from science technology, engineering and mathematics careers.
“Come prepared to get your feet wet and play in the creek,” said Kelly Honse, one of the girl scout leaders.
Then, from Sunday to Wednesday, June 6-9, from 4 to 8 p.m. daily is a nature skills girl scout mini-camp for girls of all ages.
June 6 and 7 events are at the village park. June 8 and 9 events are at the girl scout clubhouse across from St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Choose one or more days to participate.
Camp includes:
•Crafts
•Food
•Games
•Eco Camper and other badge work
•Campfires
•Hiking
•Friends, both new and old!
•Girl Scouting traditions
•Singing
Sign up on the Bluffton Girl Scout Facebook page or email Kelly Honse at [email protected]. You do not have to be a registered Girl Scout to attend, but leaders of the activities ask that parents stay at drop-off time to sign a permission slip.
