Susan Wagner was a Cory-Rawson first grade teacher
Susan Lynne Wagner, 62, died June 4, 2021, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. Susan was born Dec. 31, 1958, in Columbus to Kenneth "Jim" and Rebecca "Becky" (Jones) Faze. On Oct. 1, 1988 she married David Wagner who survives.
Susan graduated from West Milton High School and received her bachelor's degree in Education from Defiance College and her master's degree from the University of Findlay. She was a first grade teacher at Cory-Rawson Elementary School. Susan had a passion for teaching and was loved by all of her students. She was a member of Riley Creek Baptist Church and was very active in the children's education program.
Survivors include her parents, Kenneth "Jim" and Rebecca "Becky" Faze of West Milton, Ohio; her husband, David Wagner of rural Ada; three siblings, James (Shari) Faze of Lebanon, Ohio, Beth Faze of Phoenix, Arizona, Amy (Geoff) Cole of West Milton, Ohio; 14 nieces and nephews; her father and mother-in-law, Carl and Mary Wagner of Ada; a brother-in-law, Tom (Cynthia) Wagner of Bluffton; and two sisters-in-laws, Cindy Parkins of Bluffton and Karla (Dennis) Burkholder both of Bluffton.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 8, at Riley Creek Baptist Church, 4950 Township Road 27, Bluffton. Pastor David Lanquist officiating. Burial will be in Hasson Cemetery following the service.
Visitation will be Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Riley Creek Baptist Church.
