Denny Fry was a heavy equipment operator
Dennis "Denny" W. Fry, 72, died June 23, 2021, at Lima Memorial Health System. Denny was born June 14, 1949, in Lima to the late Robert and VonDale (Winget) Fry.
Denny graduated from Allen East High School. He was a heavy equipment operator working at Williams Excavating, R.D. Jones Excavating, Standard Oil and later owned and operated Denny Fry's Bluelick Landfill.
Denny was a member of the Tri-County Antique Tractors, the former VFW in Waynesfield, National Rifle Association, Lima Aerie Eagles #370 and was affiliated with various antique tractor clubs.
He enjoyed his time spent living in Texas and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.
Survivors include a sister, Teri Fry of Waynesfield and a brother Robert "Bobby" Fry Jr. of Wapakoneta.
Services will be held at noon, Saturday, June 26, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Bluffton. Jed Brake officiating. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery near Bluffton following the service where military rites will be performed. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics.
