Chassity Gallant was a first grade teacher
Chassity Lynn Gallant, 48, of Tallahassee, Florida and formerly of Bluffton passed away unexpectedly on July 8, 2021 at her residence. Chassity was born September 16, 1972 in Lima to Michael and Robin (Williams) Romick. On November 11, 1995 she married Dennis Gallant who survives.
Chassity graduated from Bluffton High School and later received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Bluffton College. She was a first grade teacher at Robert F. Munroe Day School in Quincy, Florida. Chassity enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis K. Gallant of Tallahassee; her parents, Michael W. and Robin J. Romick of Bluffton; three children, Mary Gallant of Bluffton, Rebecca Gallant of Tallahassee, Florida and Peyton Gallant of Tallahassee, Florida; a brother, Matt (Karlin) Romick of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Stefanie Romick of Toledo, Cory (Rick) Orr of Spencerville, Oliver Romick of Bluffton; a half-brother, Brian (Stacy) Miller of Lima and her in-laws, Darryl and Marcia Gallant of Bluffton and several nieces and nephews.
Chassity was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Amy Linaberry.
A Celebration of Chassity's Life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Mike Noggle officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The service will be live streamed on Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services Facebook page. The family requests that those that attend the visitation or service be casually dressed.
Memorial contributions may be made to Chassity L. Gallant Memorial Fund at Robert F. Munroe Day School, 91 Old Mount Pleasant Road, Quincy, Florida, 32352.
