Linda Sullivan was a 4-H advisor for 30 years
Linda Marie Sullivan, 74, passed away July 22, 2021, at Lima Memorial Health System. Linda was born January 14, 1947, in Bluffton to the late Donald and Nellie (Ridge) Harris. On April 16, 1966, she married her high school sweetheart, Charles "Chuck" Sullivan.
Linda graduated from Cory-Rawson High School and received an associate's degree in secretarial science from Stautzenberger College in Toledo. She was a secretary at Hancock Brick and Tile and later at Hancor both in Findlay. Linda's careers included operating an in-home daycare, a professional housekeeper, and a Fashion Two-Twenty cosmetic consultant. She was a deeply devoted lover of Christ and a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Benton Ridge. She served the Lord as a nursery worker, Vacation Bible School teacher, on the Missionary Board, on the Food Box program, the Food Bank program, and as a pre-school Sunday School teacher. Linda served in Bible Study Fellowship where she was a treasurer and child care leader. She had been a 4-H advisor for 30 years and was also active in the Child Conservation League. Linda loved volunteering at the Et Cetera Shop in Bluffton. Those who knew Linda appreciated her deep sense of humor and her loyal sense of friendship. Most of all she loved spending time with her four grandsons.
Survivors include her husband, Charles "Chuck" Sullivan of Mt. Cory; three children, Kimberly (Joe) Kussmaul of Pickerington, Ohio, Kelly (Jim) Kauffman of Mt. Cory, Scott (Jodi) Sullivan of Oregon, Ohio, and four grandsons, Garrett and Lance Kisseberth and Spencer and Parker Kussmaul.
Linda was preceded in death by a brother, John Harris.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton. Pastor Dave Clark officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery near Mt. Cory. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. The service will be live-streamed on Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services' Facebook page.
Linda was a recipient of a kidney transplant in 2009. She was passionate about organ donation and was a spokesperson for Donate Life Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donate Life Ohio.
