In August, Joyce Badertscher and Richard Boehr will both turn 90 years old. Their birthdays will be celebrated with a Red Rose and a Life Membership at the Monthly Dinner Meeting.

The Bluffton Senior Center will be hosting the Allen County Council on Aging for a Medicare 101 class on Thursday, August 19 at 2:30 p.m. The class is designed for those who will soon be eligible for Medicare. The class covers the different types of Medicare and Medicare supplemental coverage that needs to be chosen and advantages and disadvantages to be considered. Reservations are not required by recommended. The class is open to everyone.

Allen County Fair Senior Day takes place Thursday, August 26. Ride the Allen County RTA bus from Bluffton to the Fair. Contact Tonya about the bus fare and reservations. Gather at the Senior Center at 8:30 a.m. The Allen County Fair is free to anyone over the age of 65 on that day.

The summer movie series will conclude on Friday, August 13 at 1:00 p.m. with the movie "News of the World," starring Tom Hanks.

Thursday, August 5, the Community Meal will be served by the Bluffton Lions Club and on August 19, the meal will be served by the Bluffton Presbyterian Church. Meals are served at 6:00 p.m.
