Pirate linksters 2nd in NWC quad

The Allen East boys golf team won a quadrangular Northwest Conference match at the Bluffton Golf Course Monday afternoon.
AE captured the event with a score of 160, 11 strokes ahead of second-place Bluffton (171). Leipsic finished third (189), while Ada was fourth (222).
Mustang Zach Miller won match medalist honors with a score of 33.
Bluffton was led by Kenny Lovett, who shot a 38 to finish second behind Miller. Micah Minnig carded a 44 and Pirate teammate Jacob Boisvert posted a 46. Meanwhile, Eli Wenger added a round of 51.
Bluffton hosts Riverdale in a dual match Tuesday at the BGC. Bluffton plays in the fourth annual, 10-team Woodmore Invitational Wednesday morning at the Stone Ridge Golf Club.
