Dale A. Walters graduated from Bulova School of Watchmaking
Dale A. Walters, 86, passed away September 30, 2021 at the Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. Dale was born March 22, 1935 in Beaverdam to the late Elmer "Pete" and Carrie (Bailey) Walters. On June 14, 1975 he married Diana Casady Walters who survives.
Dale was a graduate of Beaverdam High School and the Bulova School of Watchmaking. He was a self-employed watch maker and had also worked at General Dynamics. Dale was a member of the American Legion Post #382, Bluffton and attended Beaverdam Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and trapshooting. Dale was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Diana E. Walters of Pandora; five children, Harmon D. (Betty) Walters of Wapakoneta, Lance D. (Tammy Smith) Walters of Lima, Andy Walters, Mary Beth Spangler Huebner and Melissa Walters; a grandson, Christopher Walters and a brother, Darwin E. (Glenna) Walters of Hillsboro, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by a son, Keith Walters.
Services will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services--Bluffton, Pastor Michael Downey officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Beaverdam where military honors will take place. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
