The Bluffton golf team finished 10th out of 18 full teams in the Div. III golf districts at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green Thursday.
Ottoville won the district team championship with a score of 317. Minster was second (322), followed by Ottawa Hills (329) and Kalida (331).
Bluffton finished 10th (355), 24 shots off team qualification.
The top four teams and next four individuals not on a qualifying team made it to the Div. III state tourney at Ohio State October 15-16.
Senior Zach Miller of sixth-place Allen East won district tournament medalist honors with an 18-hole total of 68. He finished one stroke ahead of Ottoville's Carter Schnipke.
Pirate junior Jaden Coonfare carded a 40-45=85 total to lead Bluffton as he finished 28th in the 108-player field.
Bluffton senior Kenny Lovett tied for 40th with a 40-47=87 round.
Junior Jacob Bosivert finished 71st with a score of 45-47=92.
Pirate seniors Wes Brauen 43-48=91 and Micah Minnig 46-53=99 finished 65th and 95th, respectively.
