Bluffton Airport hosts chamber member businesses
On October 8, Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce members were greeted by a spectacular sunrise for their 7:30 a.m. meeting at Bluffton Airport, 1080 Navajo Dr./FAA Identifier: 5G7.
The program included information about recent runway improvements funded by a $1 million grant as well as the daily operations of the facility from host Nick Vance of Bluffton Flying Service. Patrick Schwan of Richland Engineering Ltd. provided information about improvements done at the airport and ideas for future development. An Icon story will follow about the airport master plan.
Derek Dukes, a chamber board member and co-owner of Southgate Lanes, served as emcee. The chamber is currently interviewing candidates for the position of CEO. Chamber announcements included sponsor invitations for the November 27 Blaze of Lights festival.
Ralph Thiery of The Neighborhood Cleaners, which has a new location within Boutique 415 at 415 N. Main St., was the event sponsor and distributed coupons as door prizes. The Neighborhood Cleaners provides dry cleaning, laundry, alterations, drapery cleaning, suede and leather cleaning, and wedding gown cleaning preservation. For more information, call 567-226-1084.
