Pirate spikers host Van Buren in tourney
The Bluffton High School volleyball team was seeded sixth at the 13-team Kalida Div. III sectional/district drawing Sunday, October 10.
The Lady Pirates (13-7) host seventh seed Van Buren (14-5) Monday, October 18 at 5 p.m. in sectional first round play. In a scheduling quirk, Bluffton also plays at Van Buren Oct. 14 in the regular season finale.
The sectional semifinal winner advances to the second round at third-seeded Ottawa-Glandorf (15-5) Wednesday, Oct. 20 at 5 p.m. The victor there advances to the Kalida district semis Oct. 25. The district finals are Oct. 27.
Undefeated Liberty-Benton (19-0) is the top seed, with Coldwater (18-2) second.
