Pirate girls swept by Black Knights

The visiting Bluffton volleyball team lost in three sets to Van Buren in the regular season finale Thursday evening, October 14.

The Lady Pirate record dropped to 13-9 overall with the 25-20, 25-18, 25-20 defeat. 

VB improved to 17-5 with the non-conference victory.

Senior Kylie Stackhouse led Bluffton with 16 kills and three blocks. Freshman Ayla Grandey and senior Kylie Monday each contributed five kills, and Grandey added two blocks.

Monday led the team with 17 digs.

Senior setter Skyler Scoles passed out 20 assists and added two blocks. Dyllan Worcester added seven digs.

Haelynn Bischoff served one ace.

The Pirate girls also lost the JV match, 2-1.

Bluffton gets a chance to avenge the defeat when it plays in the Div. III sectional semifinals against VB again Monday, October 18.
