Pirate Spallinger named NWC Player of Year
Jude Spallinger of unbeaten league champion Bluffton was voted Northwest Conference boys soccer Player of the Year in voting conducted recently by the league coaches.
Bluffton juniors Eden Antrim and Justin Good were named first team All-NWC alongside Spallinger.
Pirate juniors Ethan Oglesbee, Luke Shepherd and Nolan Huffman, as well as sophomore Nolan Hoffman, were named second team all-league.
Senior Bryan Zimmerman was named honorable mention all-league.
Bluffton (12-3-2) won its sixth straight NWC crown at 4-0 and extended its NWC win streak to 34 this season.
Bluffton's Steve Smucker was named NWC Coach of the Year in voting by his peers.
