BHS CC team runs Saturday in CC State Championships
The Bluffton High School boys cross country team will run on Saturday, Nov. 6 at Fortress Obetz and Memorial Park in the 93rd annual OHSAA cross country state championships.
The team is Landon Armstrong, Trey Boblitt, Isaiah Conley, Sam Derstine, Liam Jordan, Erik Nygaard, Jonah Rehm, and John-Paul Yoder. The coach is Bill Theisen.
They join Pirate teams from 1971, 1973, 1982, 1991, and 1993 in making it to the finals (individual runners ran in other years). Erik Nygaard is following in his grandfather’s footsteps: exactly 50 years ago, his grandfather Tim Boehr was on the BHS team that ran in the 1971 state finals.
