"Home for the Holidays" Bluffton Public Library fundraiser
Bluffton Public Library, 145 S. Main St., is extending this invitation to its second at-home fundraising event:
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we at the library strive to continue to serve the public keeping in mind our duty to protect the health of our community where we are able.
Despite the pandemic, library usage has remained steady. The library continues to offer patrons physical and digital materials, virtual and take-home programming, and always-on WiFi and internet use on library computers. The library has also been providing at-home Covid tests through the Ohio Department of Health at no cost to our patrons. Curbside pickup services, digital programming, summer programming and at-home activities, local and state collaborations and a switch in interlibrary loan delivery service have made for quite a busy year at the library.
With many donating businesses still recovering from the pandemic, the library has chosen not to hold the Holiday Gift Silent Auction this year and announces the “Home for the Holidays” Fundraiser in its stead. The November/December fundraiser, and other annual monetary donations, have been essential to the library. They enable the library to encourage reading, education, and community awareness, and to nurture a population with varying circumstances and evolving needs.
How does it work? The library accepts monetary donations through mail or online. Please mail your tax-deductible donation to the library at:

or donate to the library online using your debit or credit card by clicking the link to the library’s secure Paypal account at blufftonpubliclibrary.org/donate.
All donations to Ohio public libraries are tax-deductible, as defined by state law. When you make a donation, please contact the library to receive the tax ID number.
So, put your feet up, grab a mug of your favorite hot beverage, and give back to your community from the comfort of your home. Help us reach our goal to raise $2,000. A donation of any amount helps the library to provide invaluable support for essential community services for all ages, including:
- Early literacy development & storytimes,
- Ongoing adult, children, family, and teen programs,
- Outreach services and delivery to the homebound,
- Tech tutoring,
- Programs and services to area schools and homeschooling families,
- Community events,
- And so much more.
Library staff are thankful for the wonderful patrons, community members, and businesses that support the library. The Village of Bluffton boasts a community that supports education and the arts, diversity, and fairness, and we are proud to share in that tradition. Thank you, in advance, for your continued support.
