Alice Marie Epley worked at Bluffton Hospital
Alice Marie Epley, 80, passed away November 16, 2021 at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay. Alice was born September 6, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Myron and Lena (Shank) Brenneman. On July 20, 1963 she married Darrel Alvin Epley who preceded her in death on December 13, 2013.
Alice graduated from McClure High School. She worked in housekeeping at Bluffton Hospital for twenty-one years. Alice enjoyed gardening, canning, making sauerkraut and sewing. She was a dedicated family member, exceptional mother and grandmother and she loved helping others whatever their need might be.
Survivors include two daughters, Julie Freeland of Benton Ridge, Jeanine (Jason) Thompson of Rawson; four grandchildren, Brenden Thompson, Hanah Thompson, Rylee Freeland, Josie Freeland; a brother, Bob Brenneman of McClure, Ohio; three sisters, Joyce Winkle of Napoleon, Ohio, Shirley (Jerry) Kistner of McClure, Ohio, Sister, Nancy (Greg) Smith of McClure, Ohio.
Alice was preceded in death by two brothers, Chet Brenneman, Don Shank; four sisters, Anita Brenneman, Lila Jennings, Kay Shaffer, and Linda Brenneman.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services-Bluffton with Pastor Mark Kuhlman officiating. Burial will be in Clymer Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
