Dawn Rene Atkinson worked for Nissin Brake
Dawn Rene Atkinson, 71, of Findlay and formerly of Pandora passed away December 14, 2021 at Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green. Dawn was born June 9, 1950 in Bluffton to the late Harry and Juanita (Weber) Schumacher.
Dawn was a graduate of Pandora-Gilboa High School. She worked as a laborer at Nissin Brake Company, Findlay and previously at Triplett Corporation, Bluffton and P & A Industries in Findlay. Dawn had attended Pandora Missionary Church and enjoyed playing music, singing and shopping but above all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include two children, Ryan Atkinson of Findlay, Amy (Brian) Higley of Cygnet; three grandchildren, Micah Atkinson, Deven (Alisha Lofton) Pate, Aryona Higley; three great-grandchildren, Allison Patterson, Insley Pate, Harper Pate; and two sisters, Tammy (Bill) Anderson of Cridersville and Prudence (Mike) George of Leipsic.
Dawn was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Beverly Schumacher and Beth Schumacher.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services-Bluffton with Pastor Geoff Eubank officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora. Visitation will be Monday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
