Speicher named BHS November Student of the Month
The November student of the month at Bluffton High School is Lauren Speicher, daughter of Steve and Susan Speicher of Bluffton.
Lauren is a junior with a 4.000 GPA. She is a member of the Bluffton High School orchestra, Lima Area Youth Orchestra, and ONU string Ensemble and plays the bass for all of them. She is also a member in the choir and is in the Latin Club.
She attends St Mary's Catholic church in Bluffton and is a member of their God Squad (high school religion group) and is a children's liturgy assistant.
Lauren was previously named student of the year in Accelerated Geometry, Science 9 & Latin I & II. She received an award for the National Latin Exam and the AMC B 10 Math competition. She is an SOS tutor at the Bluffton elementary school.
In her spare time, Lauren likes to play the piano, do art, crochet and work with plants and animals.
She currently takes an English class through Findlay University. Lauren is undecided with her intended college plans and area of study at this time.
