Nancy Knitz worked at Blanchard Valley Hospital
Nancy J. Knitz, 83, passed away January 3, 2022 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. Nancy was born July 20, 1938 in Michigan to the late Hilbert and Frances (Main) Bihn. On February 10, 1955 she married Kenneth Knitz who preceded her in death on February 14, 2017.
Nancy was a graduate of Pemberville High School. She worked in housekeeping at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay retiring in 1995. Nancy was a member of Pandora United Methodist Church. She loved going to Amish country, traveling with her children and grandchildren, camping and gardening. Nancy loved her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren and her cat, Sugar.
Survivors include five children, Steven (Ann) Knitz of Bowling Green, Kathy Wolford of Pandora, David (LuAnn) Knitz of North Baltimore, Kenneth (Kimberly) Knitz of Deshler, Karen (Jim Sr.) Stone of Fostoria; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by a grandson; a great-granddaughter; a son-in-law, Lynn Wolford and a sister, Delores Weinert.
Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 7, 2022 at Pandora United Methodist Church with Pastor Ruth Carter-Crist officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora following the service. Visitation will be Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pandora United Methodist Church.
