Pirate girls dominate P-G, 67-30
The Bluffton High School girls basketball team swamped local non-conference rival Pandora-Gilboa 67-30 on the road Saturday afternoon, January 15.
The Lady Pirates improved to 12-4 overall with the win, while P-G fell to 7-7 with the loss.
Senior point guard Sami Scoles tallied 14 points to lead the victors.
Senior wing Kylie Monday scored 13 points, while classmate post Kylie Stackhose netted a dozen markers.
Freshman 6-2 post Ayla Grandey and junior guard Kendal Giesige each tallied 11 points.
Lacie Fenstermaker, a 5-11 senior guard, led P-G with 21 of their 30 points. She canned three treys among her seven field goals, and added four of four foul shots. Fenstermaker also pulled down nine rebounds.
The Pirate defense limited the Rocket girls to just 10 of 30 field goal accuracy (33 percent). P-G hit just five of 19 two-point attempts (26 percent), and made five of 11 triple tries (45 percent).
P-G converted five of eight free throws (63 percent).
Bluffton helped force P-G into 15 turnovers.

The Pirate girls then entertain non-league foe Riverdale (7-8) Saturday, Jan. 22.
