Police request information on truck pursuit, truck theft
The Bluffton Police Department is requesting information regarding January 27 incidents involving trucks:
On January 27 at approximately 11:30 p.m. officers attempted to stop a Dodge truck on SR 103 for having incorrect plates on the vehicle. The driver led officers on a pursuit down several village streets.
In the 200 block of Cherry St the driver of the truck rammed into a Bluffton Police unit a couple of times. The driver fled on foot and after a K-9 track, officers were unable to locate the driver. There were no injuries reported at the time of this incident.
At the same time this was going on, a white Dodge Ram truck belonging to Tawa Tree Service was stolen from the 400 block of N. Spring St.
It is unknown if these incidents are related.
