Sheila Louise Patterson graduated from Mansfield St. Peter's High School
Sheila Louise Patterson, 80, passed away February 9, 2022 at her residence. Sheila was born July 15, 1941 in Mansfield, Ohio to John "Jack" and Eileen (Walsh) Miner. She was previously married to Lowell Weeks and on April 18, 1992 she married John "Tom" Patterson.
Sheila was a graduate of Mansfield St. Peter's High School. She retired from a New Page Corporation in Dayton, Ohio where she worked in accounts receivable. Sheila had also been a manager at Top Value Enterprises, Mansfield, as a clerk at Kobacker’s Department Store and was a switchboard operator at Ohio Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bluffton and Mansfield St. Peter's Catholic Church. Sheila belonged to the Modern Mother's Club in Mansfield, where she received the "Mother of the Year" award and enjoyed sewing.
Survivors include her husband, John "Tom" Patterson of Bluffton; five children, Sue (Gene) Russell of Toledo, Jean (Tom) Bernhoft of Bluffton, John (Allison) Weeks of Mansfield, Lowell Weeks of Mansfield, David Weeks of Mansfield; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Miner of Dayton, Ohio and a sister, Mary Sue (Joseph) Palmer of Huber Heights, Ohio.
Sheila was preceded in death by a brother, John Miner, Jr. and a sister, JoAnn Moore.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton with Father Luyen Dau officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or St. Rita's Hospice.
