March highlights at Bluffton Public Library
The BPL Update for March 2022 has been issued with a calendar and details about the events and resources to be found at Bluffton Public Library, 145 S. Main.
Resources that can be enjoyed throughout the month include:
New Beanstack Challenges
- American Sign Language (Ohio Deaf History Month, March 13-April 15)
- Women Changemakers (Women’s History Month)
- Oscar-Worthy Reads.
Beanstack challenges you to read during the month and keeps track of your reading on www.blufftonpubliclibrary.beanstack.org.
Pickup kits, makeables, and giveaways for adults and teens
- Tiny Art Kit Make & Display. Available March 1. While supplies last.
- Think Spring! Tiny Plant Start Giveaway. Available March 8 in the New Materials section. While supplies last.
- Butterfly Bookmark Makeables - Available March 15.
- Blackout Poetry in celebration of World Poetry Day. Available March 21.
NEW: Northstar Digital Literacy. Resource for building computer and software skills at www.digitalskillsohio.org.
Events include:
Jammin' @ the Library - 6 p.m. on March 14 and 28. Bring an acoustic instrument, your voice or listening ears.
Noon Book Group - Noon on March 2. Zoom with Janice Nimura, author of The Doctors Blackwell.
Mobile Health Clinic - 9:00-11:00 a.m. on March 25. Walk-in screenings for blood pressure, osteoporosis, blood sugar and cholesterol. Provided by ONU Healthwise.
For children:
Winter & Spring Storytime - For ages 3-5 years. Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday mornings at 10:00 a.m.
Symphony Storytime - with the Lima Symphony Orchestra. March 22 at 5:30 p.m.
